Focusing exclusively on the model's beauty, the simple nudes philosophy is to 'simply' celebrate female beauty, and not implicate the model in any other function: not sex, not art, not commercialism. Like the Dogme 95 film movement originated in Denmark, continues Eolake Stobblehouse, simple nudes are characterized by the inherent beauty of the model in the natural state; no forced poses; no unnatural styling or props.
