Born in 1946, Herbert W. Hesselmann studied at the Bavarian State School for Photography in Munich. Primarily an advertising photographer throughout his early career working with such clients as BMW and Castrol, his nude photography acts as a counterbalance to his earlier works – a medium where Hesselmann can explore his true creative vision.
