For Cristian Crisbasan, the only true, honest, sincere, complete and vivid portrait of a woman is when she is nude.
"Nude, all her body, with all the signs of her femininity," he adds. "I love WOMAN, not women." Crisbasan explained that his work has two directions:
- woman
- the rest
Crisbasan has discovered the world's most beautiful women in Romania. They are, he explains, a national treasure, a valuable resource, and it is his mission to capture them on camera and preserve their naked beauty.
"I think woman is the most fascinating and rich entity on the earth," he says. "I do not have a studio and I do not use artificial light. I think natural light is magical and the natural setting is enough, whether in a miserable room or a luxury penthouse, outside or inside."
Cristian Crisbasan does not set out to stage his shots. He rarely tells his models what to do. He doesn't want them to pose and begs instead for them to be natural and to allow... MORE

About CRISBASAN | 
Cristian Crisbasan lives and works in Romania, in Bucharest, with his wife and two children. Now 37, he describes himself as a visual artist and writer. He studied at the Fine Arts Gymnasium and Fine Arts College, Bucharest, and graduated in ambiental forms and design.
In 1994, he attended a course at the BBC School of Television and describes the experience as one of the most important in his life thanks to the tutor, Russell Peasgood. "He is not a typical Englishman. He travels ten months a year around the world teaching people how to make good television and how to stick to the human truth."
