It seems photographers who use Digital SLR's have very few options when it comes to wide angle lenses. Due to the fact that standard 35mm lenses are being used on an image plane that is nearly half the size it was intended for, a crop factor of approximately 1.5x to 1.6x is nearly always present. In other words, a standard 16mm fisheye really becomes a 24mm lens. Though still technically 'wide angle' this isn't always wide enough.
