On Friday July 7, 2006, the Stephen Cohen Gallery in Los Angeles, California will open Summer Skin, an intriguing and provocative show of photographic nudes – contemporary and vintage, beautiful and profane.
In keeping with the sizzling heat of Southern California summer, Summer Skin will feature photographs of nude subjects shot by Horace Bristol, Anthony Friedkin, Maureen Lambray, Suzanne Opton, Diane Arbus, Francesca Woodman, Ralph Gibson, Anderson & Low, Bauer Sa, and Frantisek Drtikol.
A selection of even more challenging work will be on display in the viewing room, including photography by David Levinthal, Larry Clark, and Robert Mapplethorpe.
