A major show of works of art featuring some by a number of Spain’s modern masters, among them Dalí, Sorolla, and Zuloaga, is currently showing in the Espacio Cultural, the gallery in the CajaCanarias’ main building in Santa Cruz.
Some seventy works in all, seven of them sculptures, from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, have been brought together under the title of El Arte del Desnudo, in a celebration of the naked human form, passive and active, idealized and warts-and-all.
The exhibition is a rare opportunity to see many works belonging to private collectors not normally available for viewing by the general public. And the chance to see so many paintings – and sculptures – depicting the same subject is a great way of comparing... MORE
