Stan has been an amateur photographer since he was in high school ' that was 50 years ago. An older cousin's introduction to photography gave birth to his lifelong interest in the medium. By day he works as a computer programmer and engineer, by night an artist with a vision and a fascination with the female form. His first Nikon was purchased in 1967 and he has been a faithful Nikon user ever since.
He worked dutifully and faithfully for many years in a traditional home darkroom until the age of digital reached the common man. Photography was born once again for him. No more smelly chemicals to dump into the environment: better yet, he could work in a light room. And of course there's Photoshop: what a great creative tool for playing with the imagination! Having had a lifelong interest in the human female (duh!), he studies the work of many artists specializing in the artistic nude for inspiration. Shooting a glamour nude in the Playboy style is nice and working with a naked lady is nice; but the results are simply boring in his mind ' more pictures to add to the billion other glamour shots out there is not gratifying.
