There are many words that spring to mind when looking at the works of Jaroslaw Kubicki. Haunting, dark, erotic, visionary, and above all beautiful. Many of his works contain an even mixture of soft sensuality and dynamic movement, always conflicting and sharing space at the same time, leaving the audience with only a sense of intrigue. Rarely resorting to the use of conventional black and white, Jaroslaw presents us with a palate of color as mysterious as his subjects. Skin color clashes against the warm glow of ribbons, faces are covered in shadow, a woman's breasts gleam against an eerie green tinge.
