Ed Coyle was drawn to photography at 26, when he realized he would do better to photograph a sunset than to write about it. A visual poet of sorts, he began his career with practical pursuits shooting weddings, gaining experience both with photographing people and handling a business.

It wasn't long before some of his clients began asking for 'special' images. This presented a new challenge for Ed Coyle; how to make a striking and sexy portrait of a woman while simultaneously satisfying their-own perception of them-self. The answer was simple and the formula the same as when photographing a landscape, a sunset, or a wedding; love your subject.

Ed Coyle prides himself on the fact that every model he has ever photographed has walked away from the shoot feeling more confident about themselves then they did when entering his studio. He considers two photo shoots he participated in with pregnant models to be the highlights of his photographic experiences. To document what is perhaps the most beautiful and yet most vulnerable...
