Elena Vasileva was born in 1975 in the city of Karkov, Ukraine where she would later go to college to complete a degree in graphic design.
Strangely, by the time she finished her degree, she was no longer interested in being a designer. The photography bug had caught up with her and she just couldn’t get enough. Using her own sexuality as her primary theme, Elena Vasileva chooses to portray and inject a little bit of herself into every photograph she takes. She aspires to show the world a ‘real woman’, someone who thinks and feels, lusts and wants, and isn’t just an object caught on film.
Elena Vasileva likes to describe this process as a ‘new birth’, referring to the thoughts and ideas she wishes to explore and bring forth with her pictures.
