Bad Girls Hotel
Bob Coulter Sometimes photographers carefully walk the line between erotic, art, and simply pornographic. Bob Coulter is one of those photographers and in many cases he completely jumps ship into one realm or the other. I don’t mean that to sound negative because that is certainly not the case. In fact, I greatly admire Coulter’s ability to show the viewer the beautiful, the raunchy, and everything in-between in this stylish volume of hotel nudes.
Done in the course of a year at the notorious Carlton Arms Hotel on 25th street, where nobody ever stays to simply sleep, Bob Coulter managed to find a host of women who love to show off their bodies. Most of these women look like they come from the wild side of life with dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings. A few however do not; giving weight to the idea that within every woman is a bad girl waiting to come out.
