Underwater Nudes David Barber Sometimes photographers forget that taking pictures of the nude should be fun before all else. It has been a while since I’ve looked through a book that emphasized a sense of joy before a sense of taste; that is of course until I got my hands on Underwater Nudes by David Barber. Flipping through this pocket-sized volume I am reminded of liquid dreams and innocent fantasies of a childhood long lost.
David Barber admits that as a small boy he used to love watching girls swim and have fun in the water. It seems that sense of joy never truly faded for David when viewing this pocket-sized volume. Lovely naked woman gleefully pose for his camera; bubbles escaping the sides of their smiles, long strings of hair flowing in the waters current. There is a rare sense of happiness on their faces quite unlike the usual mood of serenity one normally finds in work such as this.
